Transmission/driveshaft problem?

First off let me say I know little when it comes to this area of the boat... I've got an '89 Conbrio... Just pulled it out of storage and "unwinterized it" and ran into a problem...

The knuckle will turn in both forward and reverse, but the shaft and prop will not... also after i get the throttle above an idle, it starts to make a very high pitched whining sound...

Any idea what this could be from? When i put it away in the fall it was running like a top...

Found my problem. Sheared the key on the shaft to brass tranny coupler. Unfortunately, the key slot also warped on shaft and coupler. Have to replace all, unless someone has another idea.

wow, bummer.... Welcome to the forum. I'm working on a '90 Conbrio I bought in August.....
