my hour meter reset?!?!

has anyone seen or know how to set the hour meter on a 2006 24v? I started the boat today and the hour meter reset to 0.0. after about 1.5 hours the meter reset itself to 0.0 again. the only thing i could diffrent was that the "h" was blinking.
only thing i can think of is the batteries got run DEAD.

I don't think so ... something else must be wrong. That value is supposed to
stay, even when you take the batteries out over the winter.

do you think the engine needs a flash code or does the guage hold the info?
