barefoot boom

I have a 2007 22SSV Launch and am considering buying a boom. Does anyone have experience on how good the booms work when mounted to the rear plyon? Are there spray issues from the hull to the person on the boom?

Any suggestions on the best boom to buy? Thanks for the help!!
