I have several issues with my fuel tank...
1. if I try to fill at a normal speed - it spits back... major bummer when filling at the dock with 5 gallon jugs.
2. even with a check valve installed with new vent hose - when making hard left turns, liquid fuel comes out the vent
3. at the end of last season I noticed when turning sharp to one side (I think to the right but it's been all winter now and my mind is fuzzy) the engine losses power, after rebuilding the carb, fresh plugs, electronic distributor conversion, and a tune up - it runs absolutely great the rest of the time.
Is it time for a new tank?
are any of the "plastic" universal replacements close enough to work in our boats?
