I bought a new fuel filter for Skidim for my 351 pcm. However it doesnt look right to me. I bought the one that said for 351 PCM...but on my boat it looks like it will be to small and almost looks like one of the other filter types for the new models that looks like an oil filter. Also on the top of the housing it says volvo. Do you think maybe mine was changed at some time? Mine currently looks to have a plastic top with a sleeve that screws into it. But the sleeve/jacket looks alot bigger than the filter. anyone familar with this. I didnt open it up yet so maybe it drops in. But the Volvo thing confuses me a little.

I just changed the filter on my 89 Sunsport 351 PCM. The filter is on the port side below the fuel pump. The outer housing is orange on top black on the bottom you need to remove the center bolt to remove the lower housing. The filter is inside the lower housing.
Here are pics of the filter I don't if yours is the same but maybe it will help. The fram part number is on top it can be bought at the auto parts store.

awesome thanks for the pic Michael. Is this something I can check visually to see if it needs replaceing? Or should I just assume if it hasn't been done in 5+ years it needs changing?

You cant see it unless you remove it. Its $10 at the auto parts store or $11 at skidim.
Just buy one and change it.
