curb for doghouse???

So I ASSumed tonight that the rotten base for the engine cowl I ripped out in the fall was simply 2" X 6"....Looks like I was wrong by maybe an inch or so.
Found out when the cover wouldn't close!
What are the chances somebody might measure the height of their's and let me know.....
I'll have to strap the bottom of the one I made I guess.....
I thought carpenter's measured twice and cut once???

Don't know on a Conbrio but on a Sunsport the skirt is 8". The inside ledge the cover
sits on is 7 3/4". Hope it helps.

Thanks Hunter.....That was gonna be my new measurment, makes sense for a little clearance at the air cleaner...

Ha Looks just like Point Betsie!!!! We enjoy long walks up and down the beach outside Frankfort Harbour (Elberta Beach), but Have to keep the boat on the smaller Crystal Lake...I don't think lake MI is any place for a Conbrio!!!!!
Great shot's I can never get enough of that shoreline........

On a bad day it can't be beat......
