What is the best oil for your inboard? The tag on most engines reads "premium" 10w30.
I searched the archives and did not find much on this subject. Any recomendations? Opinions?

personally i would go with either a 10w40 or 30w. I would definitely use synthetic. You only really change your oil once a year so the expense outweighs the benefits of synthetics. The older ford engines have a lot looser tolerances than today's engines so it would be more beneficial to use a "thicker" oil and a synthetic!

Go with the Rotella 15w40, it is heavy duty oil for big rigs. The additives and sulfer content will protect your engine. I also use it in my 1800 Goldwing.
