So I was out the other day and my bilge got pretty full before I noticed it. We were wakeboarding, so all that water was on top of the steering cable and rudder arm. A bit later in the day my steering felt very very stiff even without ballast. Do you think that could stiffen it up? Should it loosen up again over time? Should I just replace it since it is OEM? Thanks!

You know there is a grease zerk on the cable, near the rudder. I used the green waterproof grease on mine and it helped.

I did that last year when I replaced the o-rings on the rudder shaft seal. Think it just needs more? I was kinda thinking it didn't help enough and I had to take more drastic action.
