Unleaded Gas

OK - who out there puts lead in their gas? My 1986 351W calls for leaded fuel only. Of course I've been using unleaded - but should I be adding lead? I found out a friend of mine with a 1987 Comp with 351W adds lead to his with every fill-up. What does everybody think?

I have 700 hours on my 89 I never add anything. I never had a problem. The only problem
you could have is a burned valve. I have never seen one due to unleaded fuel. I think
you already have sodium filled valves in the mid 80s engines.

I ran one for five years, no problem. I did put good brand octane booster in every tank. It ran much better that way. Had alot of ballast.
