This may be a stupid question but is the fuel light in the cockpit for low fuel, water in the fuel, or something completely different. mine is flashing sometimes and sometimes on steady. I think the float arm or sending unit is messed up but any advice would be grand. thanks

I'm not sure but mine does it too and it's really annoying

It's a low fuel light. Mine comes on around 1/4 tank.

So does mine and its a new sending unit and new gauge and new wires. Very annoying. Wife always asks, whats that light.

I unplugged the warning system within the first year multiple false lights and buzzers.
The dealer could never get it to work.
I replaced the float style fuel sender with an electronic unit . It works perfect it keeps
the gauge needle steady with no bouncing or movement even in rough water.

I've considered unhooking my buzzer and warning lights as well, usually just about every time I start mine the buzzer comes on and if I put it in neutral and rev it up a little it'll shut up until the next time I start it up

Mine is a 89 back then they tried to get fancy but the technology wasn't there yet
that system has nothing to do with the gauges.

My buzzer turns off when my fuel and oil lights turn off after I rev it up a little

Thanks for the posts. got it figured out. Took me hours of staring at wires with no schematics but I got it. kinda helps to be an aircraft electrician. :) whoever did the electronics on these old supras was a total whack job. haha.
