My 100 hour service is rapidly coming up, had a few questions for any weekend warrior mechanics. I am trying to cut back on the $350 labor charge they want. I wanted to go over what people are changing out.

All fluids changed (engine & filter, trans, vdrive)
Fuel filter change
New spark plugs
New impeller
Clean air filter (K&N)
Check belt

Anything else to replace or inspect?

Also had a few other questions...

Is the impeller change really as easy as it looks? Remove the impeller cover, and replace with a new one? re-install the cover? any other tricks to this?

For transmission service, seems like most are just replacing the fluids? That is what I did on it at 60 hrs. Holds 2 qts of fluid, I was able to pump out about 1.75 qts.

V-drive, simply drain and refill with 30w oil. (holds 2 pints)

Any other advice or recommendations greatly appreciated.

Thanks....

Sounds like you got it all covered. Not to much more for it. Maybe change the belt for alternator. Check the water hose etc...
