89 Supra TS6m Idle Issues

I've noticed the last few times the boat has been out it will not idle in neutral and will shut off. Oil pressure and temp look fine. The engine runs great at normal speeds and at take off. Anyone have ideas?

Check the timing, mine used to do that too. What is your idle rpm set at? Should be somewhere between 6-800. Love your name hehe silly 'Sconnies

wakemikey's suggestion was great. another thing to check is the carb. not just your idle, but the rest of it. it may need cleaned out with some carb and choke cleaner. another option is a carb rebuild kit. they're cheap and pretty easy to do. Wakemikey, you said it should idle at 6-800.... mine idles at that when i have the garden hose hooked up but when it's in the water, the idle bumps up to about 1000. does yourws do that too?
