I have a 07 Supra lanch. when i go to start it i have to move the lever back and forth to get it to turn over. A friend said it was the neutral saftey switch. does any one know where this is andwhat i need to do to adjust?
thanks

sounds like you need to adjust your transmission cable. the switch cuts the ignition if the transmission lever isn't in the right position (neutral). your cable isn't setting the transmission lever to the right spot when the throttle is in neutral.

follow the cable to the tranny and determine which direction it needs to be adjusted....the transmission arm is either too close to forward or too close to reverse currently. you can take the end of the cable off and find the sweet spot by manually moving the transmission arm.

with the cable disconnected at the transmission, screw the brass tip on the cable in the direction the transmission lever needs to go to be better seated in neutral. re-assemble and test. rinse repeat if necessary.
