I just discovered this photo of my 1987 Comp from my vacation in July 2008. Location: Conconully Reservoir, Conconully Washington.

I had to travel about 250 miles to reach this place. We stayed at a waterfront RV park in our motor home for 7 days in July of 2008. 100 degrees, no rain, gentle breezes, afternoon shade, and no people. this place is unreal! In my previous Eastern Washington experience, we often had to get up at Sunrise to get some slalom water, but at this location we didn't need to! I shared the lake with a handful of fishermen, but not a single ski boat for the entire week. I planned to return this summer, but my schedule wouldn't allow it. Maybe next year.

I've always wanted to do a trip like that. Maybe to a secluded place like you see on "Pull" on Fuel TV. Rent a house for a week, or a houseboat, and be on a lake that's dead with nothing to do but ride and try to break your knee's :D

I am looking ahead about three years to a 7 day houseboating adventure we are planning on Lake Roosevelt. This would be a family reunion, probably about 12-15 people on an 80' houseboat for a week. We would take the Surpa (of course), and a fishing boat (also use it for hauling the trash and restocking the ice and beer- it gets better economy). I think this would be an absolute blast!
