Who out there has been wakeboarding with the stock gravity III ballast system? I believe its 1,400 lbs. I have the 750's in the rear and never tried wakeboarding with my 400's and wanted to find out how the wake was with the stock gravity III system?

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks....

With no idea of what boat you have it is hard to say...

On my 21V the stock gravity III is more then enough wake for me although I did upgrade my Front to the 1150 GG sac and run 2 stock front 650 lb sacs in the back mainly for wakesurfing. On my boat too much rear weight makes the wake too steep so we don't typically full the rears for wakeboarding. I personally like just running my front half full as I am still a beginner.

Are you unable to use the stock rear sacs on your boat? I would put them in and see what it is like.

Alot of people run the 1150 GG up front, and pickup another stock front sac to run in the rear with their other stock front sac.

Fman,

On my 24 SSV Gravity Games boat - the stock ballast is supposed to be 1950 lbs.

I don't use it much - because around here - they are inspecting for Zebra/Quagga
Mussels (bad bad bad news) - and if you have your ballast hooked up - the inspection
is a REAL REAL pain.

My boat is an '08 22V Sunsport, and I have never filled the stock ballast system because I upgraded to the larger 750 lb rear sacs for surfing. I sold the old 400 lb sacs thinking I would never use them again. Now I am considering buying another set of 400's to use on the boat for wakeboarding. Without gauges it is a pain to try and fill the 750's to 400 lbs. If I had the 400's hooked up I could just fill it until it was full and be good with it. If I needed to use the 750's for surfing it would be a simple disconnect and connect and be good to go.

I have been looking for some 750s to replace my 400s in my 22ssv. Where did you get the 750s and how do they fit back there????

They will fit with no problems, but they will take up your entire ski lockers storage area. Personally, with the 750's filled, and the center tank its 2000 lbs of weight in the boat which is a LOT. You can definitely feel it in the turning and handling of the boat. For my wakeboarding capabilities I think its too much unnecessary weight. I am going to get a set of 400's and keep the 750's on hand for Surfing.

agree, we like the 400s for wakeboarding. Looking for a little more for surfing. what kind did you get and where did you find them. Just looking of someone that has a 22ssv that knows how a particular brand fits.

50L x 20W x 20H will fit perfect for your boat, www.wakemakers.com sells them. They also have the three holes so you can vent them as well.
