Its seems I go out for 4 maybe five hours of wakeboarding and idle cruising and I'm through my 20 gal. tank....Does this seem like bad mileage?

When riding - we tend to consume about 5 gallons per hour, so no - that seems
to be about the same to me.

My buddy with an older carbeurated Supra with a 351 gets about the same - so I would
say probably about the norm.

Sounds about right. Your only choice is to get the battery powered Epic. It will save you about 50 percent in gas. Just remeber it is well over 100,000.00 to buy it.

I think I use about 6 gallons an hour on my 454 when riding..... so sounds like you are in the ballpark.

I use 4.6 gallons per hour with a 14.25x 14.5 Acme Prop. And 4.3 gallons per hour with the stock 13.75 x 17.5 OJ prop. Indmar 325 assault '06 launch 21V. So that's not too bad on your fuel consumption. From what I hear the XStars are using more than 6 gallons per hour.

If you figure this on a fuel mileage comparison. My boat would be getting 4.651163 miles per gallon

If it helps :) I just tweaked the fuel system on the speed boat (see Avatar). At WOT she burns a gallon, every minute and fifteen seconds. YEEEHAAAAAA!
