Just finished changing my vdrive oil today. I still am a little puzzled, I drained it completely then added a 1/2 qt of SAE 30 oil. I checked the dipstick and after about 2 hours sitting there and there is still only a dab of oil on the bottom of the stick, well under the LOW mark. I had some spillage when I drained the oil so I was not able to contain all of it to measure how much came out. I checked the manual and it appears I have the walters v-drive that takes SAE30 1/2 qt to fill.
Does anyone know what model of Vdrive they are putting in the '08 Sunsports? I cant read the serial # plate on the front of the unit because it looks like it was scraped a little at one time. I am wondering if this unit takes 1 qt of oil, not a 1/2. Or it just takes a long time for it to drain down into the bottom sump???
