I was trying to change the fuel filter on my 1996 PCM Pro-Boss GT40 EFI today. I drained the canister and then tried to remove it with an oil filter wrench. The wrench bent but the canister didn't budge. Admittedly a cheap filter wrench. So I dug out the sturdy wrenches. Now I am flexing the bracket and still nothing. There is no sign of corrosion but I dosed it with penetrating oil anyway. Still nothing! Any suggestions or tricks? It looks like an expensive piece and I don't want to break it, melt it, start a fire etc.. The filter can't last forever?????
Thanks
John
