89 TS6M Loose Steering

Is it possible to 'tighten' up the loose play in the steering or do you have to replace parts?

I'm having the exact same problem, I pretty sure the cables stretch over time and replacement is the only solution, will be calling ski dim about it this week. Saltare Inverts replaced his cable and helm and says his steering feels like a ferrari now......

steering went to the back burner, trying to finish interior! On the ski DIM website it loks like for a about $150 you can replace cable and helm.........
