I bought a used alt for my 83 pleasurecraft. i hope i can make it work my boat had an external reg this alt has one on it but it still has hook ups for an exciter and the ground can anyone explain what to hook these up too. the external reg had a field, ground and exciter the the wire from the reg went to the resistor.
