Hi, I have been browsing the forum a long time, I appreciate all the help and interesting topics. One issue I am having is my boat is running cold, about 100 degrees. My guess is there is something stuck in the thermostat, maybe impeller parts? However, it is the Indmar Assult (99 Legacy) and the thermostat is hard to get to. Anyone have other ideas to check first before I start trying to get access to it? Thanks,

Thermostats will fail over time, and their life limit is hard to predict. Fourtunatly they are cheap and usually simple to replace. Thermostats can fail or lock in any position from full closed to full open. I think the thermostat is stuck open, but I don't think the impellor failure is a prerequisit.
Cheers,

Thanks for the info Rludtke. I will probably just replace it, it looks like I have to take the air filter off and maybe the throttle body, but I guess that shouldn't be too hard.
