Problems winterizing

Ok so you guessed it I'm leaving Suday till Thanksgiving so its time to get the boat ready for the winter and of course I ran into a big snag! I was removing the drain plug on the block on the drivers side and I get the plug out and go to put it back in and the threads ON THE BLOCK are gone! Nothing left for the plug to grab onto! Any ideas?

Run a 1/4" pipe tap in the block, get a new plug. You might also try a 1/4" pipe bushing for a 1/8" plug. This way you leave in the bushing and only remove a brass plug. Good luck. Allan

yeah, that's one for your heart rate!, glad to hear the bushing worked, beast is full of good advice... If you get too hot think of Toronto in winter, cuz it's coming.........
