Can you put a teak platform and the teak where the chrome rail is? Can you put the more squared off window on these? I am looking at one and the rounded window doesnt look as good as the older ones.

Sure the platform is easy to change out but not sure why you wouldn't want a fiberglass platform. Also the metal grab rail is just bolted through the hull so that can be removed/replaced as well but not sure where you will find a teak rail. No idea about the window. How about a pic!

I can see why you would not want the cheap fiberglass platform. You just can''t beat the looks of wood. The rail would be hard to make but can be done. I have teak platform, rail, and trim on w/s and interior. I soon will have a complete teak floor, winter project now. Al

I dont have a good one of the older one but its the basic squared off one. I like it better, maybe its just the tint?

would definitely be cheaper to start with tinting, Jim at Viper can prolly help you find the older style windshield.

I think the topside mold lines are different between the newer and older boats. Obviously the windsheilds are intended to fit the surfaces they mount to, so I doubt that it is a bolt-on swap.

I have a 96 Comp with the rounded windshield. Looks like the one in the picture. The bottom rail rests in molded groove in the fiberglass deck. No way you swap it for the old style straight ones. I agree with you on the look or at least used to. I almost bought the old style boat because of the windshield. Now I'm used to it. Those are also the windshields that had the delaminating problem. I have one of those too. I see you like the dark tint so I doubt you would ever notice. Some of the benefits of the round windshield boats include fiberglass composite stringers and floors and things like fuel injection. So you get the good old style hulls plus modern mechanicals but without the rot. Sounds like a good tradeoff to me. I already swapped out the fiberglass platform for teak

The rounded window brings you into the 21st century. Also you will love the fiberglass platform when it comes to maintenance. Spend more time on the water.

The only thing I do not like about the rounded windshield is the distortion you get looking through it - you don't get that with the windshield that has corners. But the rounded one looks good for sure!

I have the rounded and like the looks but there is defintly alot of distortion in them and takes a lot of getting use to . I actually try and look over my windshield now
