I have been noticing oil in the bilge lately on my 84 ts6m. I was running the boat with the engine cover open and saw oil vapor coming from the driver side breather on the valve cover. I have aftermarket covers and the hose that originally ran from this breather to the flame arrester has been eliminated. Would restoring this hose back to the original place help this prob. or do I have other issues? Also this only happens above 3k rpm.

If the oil is coming from the breather on the valve cover you'd see oil running down the cover. If you have the hose, put it on and see if it makes a difference.

What year is your boat? How many hours ? What engine? Do you what a PCV valve is?

It is an 84 with a PCM 351 , it does have a functioning PCV valve on the other side cover. I think I'll punch a 1" hole in the top of the oil filler cap and install the original gromit and fitting and run the hose back to the flame arrestor
