So the newest fixed bimini storage racks look great but price is throught the roof...anyone have experience with any aftermarket tops like monsters Cargo Rack Bimini or other brands? Does anyone know who the manufacturer of the tower is on the '06 22SSV?

From what I have heard the Monster cargo bimini should work in place of the Supra cargo bimini. They are great to talk to, give them a call. 5 year warranty. I can vouch for the quality of their products.

Check out my profile picture, I have the monster cargo bimini on my Supra 24SSV, it works really well (I'd use a large though, I have the smaller one).

As far as your other question, XTP builds all of the towers for Skiers Choice.

What size did you get - small or medium?

I think it was called small. There are only two sizes and I have the smallest one. For some reason I thought there may have been a "medium" and a "large'

How much shade do you get from the cargo bimini from monster? I heard the Z5 cargo did not give as much as the standard Supra bimini. I really like the look of the monster cargo bimini, but I know I will hear a lot of complaints if we loose shade in the boat.

Wadsworth, I don't have the right size for my boat, I need a larger one. With that said, it provides just enough relief to take a break from the sun. Its a bit lower than the factory bimini so that affects the coverage. I don't think this has as much coverage as the Z5, mainly because the bow part of the Z5 reaches out and around whereas the whole Monster one is oval. My friend who has an '05 21v has the factory bimini and I'd say the Monster Cargo Bimini coverage is similar to that of his. You should measure it out then check the measurements of the cargo bimini on www.monstertower.com

I like it quite a bit though, it's nice to throw a surfboard up there or something.

I can say theres not much out there that can hold a candle to the 08' Supra bimini. It unhooks and tilts down to stow 2-boards..or a tube for the DORKS! And it looks sharp! That's great engineering. It's awesome! Jet
