I pulled my tank out and when I unhooked it there was 2 wires, Red and black, and e few other grounded out to the tank for misc grounds, My question is! My fuel guage didn't work and I plan on making sure it does work when I put this boat back together! So If I remember correctly they run off of the amount of ohms that the float is at in the tank so I should be able to check this one and if it don't work and its not just a connection, our there fuel guage sending units still availble for these boats?

Take the fuel sender wire and disconnect it from the sender. Turn the key on and look at the gauge. Then ground the sender wire. You should see the gauge go from full to empty . If the gauge moves then its good as well as the wiring. Replace the sender. I installed an electronic sender 20 years ago it works perfect without ant needle fluctuation.
