Or not?

I have my boat at Viper Customs and while Jim has it, I am wondering if I need anything else done to it.

I would consider having the decals pulled off and he could buff it all while he has it. This would open me up to a few options. I could update the graphics, I could get it wrapped or just leave it naked. However, my decals are in great condition and I hesitate pulling them off. If I knew 100% that I'd wrap it then I'd for sure do it. I just don't know.

What do you think?

You can see my boat in the link below my signature

Just personal preference I'd say. I had him take mine off because they needed to be replaced. If you're undecided, I would leave them on, because you can always take them off and change later - can't always put it back original later. What else is Jim doing with your boat?

I think it looks classy the way it is. Plus, wraps are super expensive, but if you don't mind spending the money just for looks its all good. I would probably wait until the decals HAD to be replaced. Just my opinion...its a great looking boat the way it sits!

I agree with jay , the boat looks awesome, but i prefer the logos and decals......thats not to say a 1/2,3/4 of full wrap doesn't look sweet as well. I would leave it the way it is untill you decide on more...jmo

Thanks for the input. I was thinking that myself but for some reason kept trying to talk myself into something diff. I think I'll leave it for now.

Clint, Jim is replacing a vinyl panel on my interior and just a couple of touch ups....going to give the boat a good going over and make her shine. I didn't think about it or have time when I dropped mine off the other day to look at yours. I also didn't realize the extent of work that you are having done. I will for sure check it out when I go pick mine up. I'm sure it will be awesome. I can't imagine the kind of excitement and anticipation you must feel....WOW what a transformation that is going to be. Congrats.

Mine is naked, and I like it much better without all the stickers that were rubbed off by fenders. I think this Spring I'm gonna remove the Supra logo on the sides so it'll be totally free of decals except for the Supra logo on the transom.

I've been seriously considering having a set of Celtic flames cut out for mine, or something similar. I even talked to Dan about it at the Nashville boat show.

Do you have any before and after pics?

I also took all the Gravity Games stickers off my boat, except for the large Supra logo
on the side. Looks MUCH cleaner to me.

I don't have comprable photos, but here you go:

Oooh, that is one sweet boat! I do like the cleaner look you went with.

What about just removing the upside down swoosh (for lack of a better term) and leaving just the SUPRA for a cleaner look on mine, like the newer Supra's? Would this be a good or bad move?

Jony, isn't that the old style swim platform? Did you have it optioned with that?

jonyb

Old style? The boat's an 07. Is that an older platform then 07?

That platform looks like the one on my '08.

On the '10 boats, they have done away with the "grab rail" (I have taken mine off)
and put a rub-rail on there.

personally, I find the Supra platform to be about 1/2 the size I wish I had ...
(want it to extend back farther, obviously it can't be wider)

I like the minimalist look. I would go as minimal as you can but still leave the Supra Wave or a Supra logo.

That's what I thought with mine - when Jim puts it back together. I'm just going with a med. grey Supra wave and waterline with a single orange stripe in place of the rainbow stripes. No Supra name on the side - at least not a large one.

Our Mariah just went into the shop to have some decals put on. I ended up replacing the factory rainbow strip and wave with a black and silver one and had Supra put on the side like the new ones are. I will post some pics once I get it back home.

Looks awesome. Do you have any before pics? About the snow...yea, I'm getting sick of the white crap. We've had more than enough for my liking here in TN. Where's all this global warming at?

Thanks

I had a local sign shop do it for me. I was a little worried at first that it would be to busy. However I was really happy with how it turned out.

Here is a pic of it with the old stripes.

Wow, the black wave stripe looks great & really compliments the new logo! Didn't realize some simple vinyl stripes would update her so much - a true "modern classic".
