Got to check most of them out at the boat show this weekend, it blows my mind to see how large these 24's are.

The Malibu is so large on the inside it's like a limo....
Looks like that Enzo still has the fail tower on it. The front legs were prone to freezing damage because water gets in them and can't drain out.

Nice rides, all of them.... I am really like the Air Nautique, they have always been a favorite of mine.... seeing as I have a kid going into college in a year and half, buying one of those right now would not go over to good with the wife! and of course the Supra 24SSV is also a great boat. I do like the new progressive tower, it just keeps looking better and better to me!

It is surprising Mastercraft did not make the cut.

Oh ya, and is it me or does the MB Tomcat have the ugliest looking tower on the market!?!? looks like the welder designed that after drinking a 12-pack :)

OMG are you kidding me? It's not like I said anything about Supra this time, and it wasn't a bash, it was something that consumers should know before buying a boat: The fact that the tower has issues and there's a boat in my shop right now getting a new tower because of this problem. Luckily the owner has enough money to buy a new Samson tower because the original manufacturer is out of business and Progressive insurance won't cover the damage.

If you don't like my remark, in this open discussion forum, I'd suggest you ban me so you don't have to worry about it anymore. That's ridiculous Mikey.

Strike my comment about the MB Tower! I just could not resist bringing it up... I like MB Boats, just not a fan of the tower.

You didn't have to mention anyone, there were only 3 other people and they didn't say anything. I have a grip, and I don't have an attitude. You should remember that this is an open forum. Are we not allowed to comment on those boats that you posted?

I am fairly new to this site but correct me if I am wrong, this is a boat forum about Supra boats correct? So why not keep the focus on Supra Boats, if you want to know about other brand of boats go to a different forum. I am not trying to be difficult but I own a Supra Boat and the reason I joined this website was to learn more about the Supra boats not other boat brands.

HAHA! I agree that I think we all just need to get out on the water! We have been having sunny days lately and I am itching to go out!

Now to respond to the thread, When did Tige put ballast in their boats? When I was in the market they only had the TAPS system but no built in ballast. Just wondering...

I think the RZ's started it. When a friend of mine got an RZ2 it came standard with ballast and TAPS. We still had to sack the hell out of it.

Tamu,

The primary purpose of hte site IS Supra, but we are not going to police
this to only allow discussion about Supra's. If we followed that rule,
we would not let people talk about Wakeboarding, or their favorite wakeboard either.

We really really don't want to censor anything unless it's nasty or totally uncalled
for. People like to keep up with what's happening in the "Boating" world.

Several of our "bretheren" on this site don't own Supra's at all, but the little brother
Moomba.

I agree with someone that just said "winter's been too long, we're all just itching to get out"

I think, in general, forums are best moderated laissez faire

I almost purchased an '07 22Ve Tige that did not have the ballast option in it, but was availiable to order. The Ve series only had 600 lbs of ballast, and Tige' claimed the Taps/Convect hull system would deliver a quality wake even without the ballast. After looking at the Tige' boats, the TAPS system is really just a wakeplate similiar to Supra. I never was able to go out and test drive one on the water, but a good friend has an '06 22V Tige and loves it. There is definitely a hull design difference between the Supra and Tige', overall I really did like the Tige' and was close to purchasing one. Then I saw my Supra with many more options on the boat for the same price, that was the dealbreaker for me. Especially because I like to wakesurf and Tige' I was looking at had no ballast system in it.

Tige' makes a really nice boat in my opinion.

I agree Todd, everyone here has an interest in boats, talking about other makes and models is interesting and educational for people. Love my Supra, but there are many other boats out there that I also think are very nice rides.

I second what FMAN said. This weekend I was looking at SAN's and last weekend I was in a shop that sold Tige's. I go to these shops usually to look at the Wakeboards and Gear so I know exactly what size or color to order my stuff on the internet saving money. I end up spending a couple of hours each time I go talking with everyone in there about "all" boats. I usually then buy some wax or something so I don't feel too guilty! (Shops are really empty this time of year, I'm the only one in there)

I then go look at the boats seeing what is new, mentally listing the things I like and dislike about the new models, and usually appreciating the features and price I paid for my Supra. However the different boats do give me upgrade ideas or "winter" projects.

Haven't been on this forum for a couple of months....It was much happier then! 2010 boating season is right around the corner!

My trip to the boat show this year was strictly recon. Checked out all the makes & models, noted features I liked & disliked from each, then determined which ones made sense to incorporate into my rebuild. No one manufacturer makes THE perfect boat for everyone, but obviously they all have some pretty talented engineers and designers.

Thanks for the original post & links for a good overview of the monsters they're all putting out on the water these days.

"laissez faire"

If that involves being naked, count me in!

btw, I'm writing this from the deck of my Regal 320

Haha, it means essentially "hands off" or hands off with at most minimal intervention.
