I am searching for the rubber trim piece that goes on the outside of the swim platform on the '09/2010 model boats. Unfortunately, I had to remove my grab handle rail on my '08 because my dogs paws would get caught up on it when entering the water. The platforms are the same size in all those years, in '09 they went to the matching piece to match up with the boat deck trim piece.

The trim piece is the same moulding that goes in between the top/bottom deck of the boat. I have called the dealer and am awaiting a price but wanted to find out if anyone knew where I could possibly find a piece for a reduced cost. I am sure the dealer is going to mark it up 300% like everything else they sell.

Any feedback or leads would be great!

Fman,

I took my rails off because my grandkids get caught - always wanted to put a rub-rail
on there -- now they do that on the '10 models.

Look up rub rail, most of them are made by "Taco" company - problem is, when I was
looking, it was hard to just order 10 feet - you had to buy an entire roll.

Todd,

I am going to try and give Jim Jackson at Viper Customs a phone call tomorrow to find out if he might have a piece laying around he might want to sell. I did call Skiers choice and talked to someone in customer service, they would not give me a price and my dealer is waiting to hear back from them. I am anticipating at least $150 from them.

I will keep you posted, I also believe the '09's used this type of rub rail system as well. Currently I just have some stainless bolts in the holes with some washers to plug the holes up. I really like the look of the rub rail on the platform and how it matches the lines of the decking.

Todd,

Just ordered the rub rail piece from Jim at Vipor Customs, about $100 shipped to my door, he is cutting the piece and sending me the end caps with it. It will be an exact match to the boat rub rail, stainless/black.

He seems like a real nice guy, very nice conversation with him on the phone.

Phone # is 865-388-4096

Fman, did your dealer ever get back to you?

My dealer never did. I was thinking about putting rub rail there a year ago, but it seemed like I had to buy an entire roll of the stuff.

I may just call Jim V.

THanks Fman

No, called them twice over the last week and they said they were waiting for skier's choice to get back to them with a part # and price. Five minutes with Jim on the phone and it was ordered and $100 seems like a reasonable price.
