Hey all,

I have been reading all of the posts and information here for a while and it looks like a great community! I have lived on a lake my entire life and now I find myself boatless and looking for an old Supra to work on and make my own.

I have searched Craigslist (I am in the Virginia Beach area of Virginia) in a 250 mile radius and I haven't come up with anything. I realize that it is winter and most aren't thinking about boats but I am!!

If any of you guys know about one or are selling one yourself, let me know! I am willing to travel a good ways, not to California but east coast and midwest probably.

I am looking for a project boat as cheap as possible i.e under $5,000. All issues are fine as I am well versed in boating systems!

My email address is [email protected] if you know of one in your area. I have cash and am ready to buy...

Thanks!:):):)

i saw this on CL (tx) yesterday...don't know anything about it except that it looks like a saltare on a single axle trailer? the ad doesn't even say the model but it has 454...the pic of the bow makes it look like a sunsport (lifting ring)

I think Salty's post may be a Mariah. Looks like angled rear seats in the engine pic, freeboard looks shallow for a Sunsport & I agree that's not a Saltare nose.

454 Mariah = rare find. Can't weight it like a Sun or Salt, but that big block could make a mean barefooter.

Hey guys I just wanted to let you know that the boat with the 454 is a Mariah...I just emailed the guy...after looking at everything it looks like the mariah has low freeboard and wouldn't take weight well. is that correct? I think what I want to stick to is a Sunsport or Saltare...

Thanks for the help!

Correct. They are okay, but not your goal.
