Does anyone know where I can get the cover to the trash recepticle as well as the lining that keeps the trash in for my 86 Sunsport?

did you find what you are looking for? I was browsing through the big West Marine catalog and I think they have what you are looking for. I think you can also see the full catalog online. check out the hatch/window section...they actually have the trash receptcles with bags and the covers. Not sure what size your is but I think they might be able to help you out.

I looked online and didnt see it either. I found it in the big West Marine Catalog. I will get the part number tonight and post it here.

in the search box type in these model numbers

The first number is for a watertight locker door...not sure if that will work for you. The second is for the deck plate storage bag which looks exactly like the one on mine. The third number is for the deck plate used to cover the opening.

I think this is what you are look for. They are on page 370 in the 2009 annual catalog. Not to be crude but this catalog is my reading material of choice in the bathroom.

OKay the last two part#'s look like mine. But I guess I never got how it worked. How do you use a trash bag with a hole in the bottom? :) We need a pictorial on how this thing works!

Not sure what your set up looks like on your boat. On my boat I have a hole on the driver side where the walk thru is. The bottom of the bag goes through the hole and there is a lip on the of the bag that holds it in place....the cover then goes over the hole.

Mikey I have a feeling I am not answering your question...but just relying how mine works.

So are you putting a removable trash bag in there? Or is this a permanant cloth bag?

Mine has a nylon bag...and actually I am not sure if it was intended for trash. I think it may have been intended as a valuable bag for watches wallets etc that you dont want to get wet.

Mine has a sticker that says Trash right above it, Anyway I am removing it completly so If someone wants it just pay shipping
