Anybody have any luck getting a stuck hour meter running again?

Or does anyone have an original hour meter that still works that they don't want anymore? I don't care how many hours are on it, just that it works so I can track fuel usage / oil change intervals.

Just going over my list of things to fix before the season.

If you cant find an original gauge you can always mount a aftermarket gauge under the engine cover. That way it wont conflict with the dash gauges.

Mine was removed recently at Viper Customs. Call Jim Jackson, he may still have it . . . .

Thanks for the offers / Ideas. I'm going to try and get mine going first. My boat is/was a real electrical disaster when I got it, so i'm going to climb under the dash and make sure I don't have a broken wire before i bother one of you to send me one.

What signals the hour meter to start running? i know it's not simply the key being on.
