I'm pretty sure that Jim @ Viper Customs has a few for sale - they are factory covers that he bought from a dealer going out of business. Call him.

i bought a cover from iboats.com a few months ago. fits great, no complaints so far. keeps the boat very dry and we've had tons of rain since the fall.

do you store your boat outside? i'm not sure how effective the factory covers are at keeping water out.

what about venting on these after market covers???
Mine was cheap enough to warrant replacement this year, it hasn't breathed at all, leaving a moldy scenario if I don't pull the cover to let'er air dry.......
I'd like my next cover to allow for some venting....,..
Salty, You got pics of your cover from iboats and it's fitment?????

fitment...love that word

i haven't taken a pic yet, been meaning to. i'll post some up in a couple days when it's not so darn cold out....wtf happened to our spring??

as to venting, i got one of these with the cover...it's called the boat vent II

i have to admit that i haven't installed it yet. not too thrilled about cutting a hole in the cover. i haven't had any moisture problems so i haven't messed with it.

I must have said fitment 4 times out loud while typing that one...My wife thinks I'm losing it.....
Vent looks good, I wouldn't be to excited about cutting that cover either...mine was $120, fits so so, I'd have no problem cutting it up!!! Thought I might try to resize it anyway.....

So are you guys ordering covers that are all ready made for our boats or covers that are universal?

They call them semi-custom, I'm a little foggy on what that means, that's why I was hoping to see some pic's of Salty's, Hopefully it warms up down there in TX!!!!

sorry for the delay....i can't remember what they called it but it's a 'custom' fit based on the year and model. the only thing i don't like is that the cover doesn't go over the swim platform. i've been meaning to make something for it but i've got a pretty big bottle of teak oil too, lol.

i had a sail shop add the tower cutouts, i think it was about $100. the cover was about $350 but i think sunsports are a little cheaper.

Does anyone know if there are covers available that will fit the 19'6" Sunsport from 1986? iBoats sent me one for the 21' Sunsport and I had to send it back and they told me they don't have one to fit my boat.

I bought a semi custom cover and it was a little big. I cut out for the tower, added velcro. I also cut out and added two cups to hold the cover supports. The supports I made from conduit and I added paint and rubber ends. It works real well now. It also trailers well. I added some more straps than it had also. It allows for better FITMENT.

Can anyone recommend a bottle of something I can spray on my cover to re-waterproof it? Now when it gets wet, water doesn't bead up like it used to.

I am guessing but wouldnt scotch guard do that? I dnk if scotch guard would hurt breathability though.
