Tried to search on this and found nothing...

Is there a "quality" difference between these two props or are they pretty much comparable? I really like my OJ 14.25x14 thats on the boat right now, and I am getting ready to purchase a spare. Nettle props recommended the ACME over the OJ, ACME does not make a 14.25x14 its a 14.5, not sure if that would make much of a difference????

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks...

I am not sure Travis -- I own 2 of the OJ Props ... However, I thought I remember
someone talking recently (either here or on WakeWorld BBS) about clearance issues
on the trailers with the ACME?

Both companies make a good prop. From what I understand they both CNC and dynamic balance there props. The main difference I have hears about is that the OJ props are a little thicker then the Acme.

I originally had on my 07 21v the OJ 466 (the wakeboard prop from the factory). With the boat full weighted with approx 2500 of ballast it would take approx 20 seconds to get on plane. When my prop got bent I switched to the Acme 1235 and I've been really happy with it. It takes the boat approx 8 seconds to get on plane now. OJ says they have a prop now that is better then that of the Acme 1235 but I haven't heard anything about it from end users.

I read the clearance issue warnings as well but I've had no problems with it.

I called Acme and they said that the 1235, 14.5 x 14.25, would not work due to clearance issues being too tight. Now I've heard of alot of people running the 1235 but I did see a pic that someone posted and there was less then a 1/4in. of clearance between the prop and the trailer. I opted for the OJ 14.25 x 14.00. I could just see pullin' back on the trailer and being alittle off and somehow messin up the prop.

I run a 14X16 OJ cupped Stainless steel. This is now going on third season, still looks brand new. Performance is good with mine, no prop burns, no cavitation. Excellent quality in my opinion. Tranny is Velvet drive 1to1 gear ratio. Spinning prop at 5,000 rpm at WOT. Al

Nettle props recommended the ACME, but I think I will just go with the OJ, so far it has been a great prop, and plains the boat extremely well.
