Couldn't find a decent older Sunsport and got impatient after being boatless for a little over a week.

2008 22 SSV with 1.1 hours. Now it has 4.3. Any advice on the model/year is appreciated.

Nice colors - white looks sharp (and so practical on a boat) & love the red/black combo. Great looking ride. Congrats.

WOW! Great looking boat! Lovin the color scheme! Enjoy!
I've got an 08 22SSV as well. Feel free to ask ?'s should anything come up.

I picked up mine in July of 08 and have put nearly 200 mostly trouble free hours on it since. You'll have a blast with that boat.

I've only had two minor issues with mine since the get go. I had some stress cracks develop around the shaft log on the bottom of the boat that were repaired under warranty with no issue. Also, last season I got an engine fault on my first outing of 09. Turned out to be a faulty catalytic temperature sensor. Others have had this issue with 08's as well. May be something you come across. When it happened to me, I brought it to the dealer and they replaced both catalytic temp sensors under warranty and I've not had an issue since. I discussed this issue here: https://forum.supraboats.com/showthread.php?t=4064

and it was discussed here as well: https://forum.supraboats.com/showthread.php?t=4021

Congrats man! Let's see some pics of that bad boy on the water!

Great looking boat! white is so clean and easy to take care of! Welcome to the forum.... I have an '08 myself, there are a couple items that you might need addressed:

Swivel board racks will become loose, contact Roswell and they will send you a better pin style setup for $100, well worth it, they are a much better design. Ask for Scott in the warranty department, they are a great company to deal with. Test them out and put a couple boards in them and move them, its pretty disturbing how loose they are right from the factory and it only got worse on my boat.

The ballast fill sprinkler valve/single RULE pump system is junk, its slow, unreliable, and will eventually give you problems, the only real fix is to get rid of them and upgrade to the '09 JABSCO pumps or Tsunami pumps. If you dont use your ballast that much then its not as big of a deal.

These were the two items on my boat I had to repair, otherwise its a great boat, you are going to have a fantastic summer in that!

Cheers! :D

Thanks for all the well wishes and advice. Can't wait to get her back in the water. Now to come up with a name....leaning towards "Sick Time". Wife unit doesn't like it though.

Wow, much, much better that buying an old hunk of junk. Sweeet!!

Impatience is a virtue!

Can you pull that behind your Camaro? LOL

I think this big boat would blow the T-5 tranny on the IROC in a couple seconds.:D

I'd like to get a side by side pic but the Supra has the Camaro solidly blocked in the garage.

eta: Imaptience is a virtue.....I like it.

We call our boat "my favorite child".

It was suggested by my oldest daughter (we have 5 kids. A few of the others weren't
sold on the name. :o)

I've contemplated "Last Child". Little double entandre since I dig the song by Aerosmith and we're not having anymore children.

eta: Lyrics are kind of fitting too.

I'm dreaming tonight
I'm leaving back home
Right!

Take me back to a south Tallahassee
Down cross the bridge to my sweet sassafrassy
Can't stand up on my feet in the city
Got to get back to the real nitty gritty

Yes sir, no sir
Don't come close to my
Home sweet home
Can't catch no dose
Of my hot tail poon tang sweetheart
Sweating that makes your purse
From a J. Paul Getty and he's here
With a face in a beer

Home sweet home

Get out in the field
Put the mule in the stable
Ma she's a cookin'
Put the eats on the table
Hate's in the city
And my love's in the meadow
Hands on the plow
And my feets in the ghetto

Stand up, sit down
Don't do nothing
Ain't no good when boss man's
Stuffin' it down their throats
Without paper notes
And then babies cry
While cities lie at their feet
When you're rockin' the street

Home sweet home

(Guitar Solo)

Mama take me home sweet home

I was a last child
Just a punk in the street

I was a last child
Just a punk in the street

I was a last child
Just a punk in the street

I was a last child
Just a punk in the street

I was a last child
Just a punk in the street

I was a last child
Just a punk in the street

Home, sweet home
