What's the difference between the ssv24 and sunsport 24V?

I have a 2007 supra after looking at the title I just noticed it's a sunsport. When I bought it I was told it was a ssv24 gg edition however it was a repo and I got it for pennys on the dollar. It has the Gravity 3 balliast system exc...

My GG has the GG emblem on the front seat in the play pen and on the rear bench. Other than that. I think that some of the sunsports have a walk through bow. There is one here in wichita that dosnt have a tower as well.

I believe the sunsports also have the steps thru the rear bench behind the driver, not all but most. Where the SSV has a full rear bench.

Other than the playpen and the steps i dont think there are many differences. I looked at several sunsports before buying the ssv, which i also bought as a repo. From my understanding, a loaded out sunsport is an ssv with a couple cosmetic changes.

If you have walk-thru instead of playpen in the bow, how much ballast do you have up front? The ssv has the 1150 sac. Do you have Perfect Pass Pro? Docking lights? I'd say different paint scheme but i think you have that handled.

Thats all i got ...

Those are the "standard" differences, but I have a friend with an 07 24SSV that has
the SunSport style rear bench.

Pretty sure the MAJOR difference is playpen versus walk-thru bow

Pretty confusing!

On a side note, my Launch 20SSV has a walkthrough, rather than the playpen.

on my 07 Sunsport 24V
I have the gravity III balliast 1150# up front, playpen, Docking lights, Perfect pass the works... It had the Tower with the z cargo rack/binimi, roswell boardracks, transom sterio remote, basically everything that the launch or ssv24 has as far as I can tell.... The rear bench seat has a step & big built in cooler on the starboard side... It has the optional rear observer seat behind the driver... Amazing boat for under 30k, I was just curious of what was different...

Wow, that is a hell of a deal. I paid more than that for my 06. How many hours?

Sounds like to me you have found the difference. The steps in the rear bench. I can't think of anything else.

I got it last Sept, It had less than 100 hrs something like 74-84 hrs not exactly sure, still hadn't had the 1st oil change...

The radio, heater, mirror, rear ballaist bags, & binimi were stripped, had some gelcoat damage from being carelessly docked, I had to restitch the interior, replace some carpet, new electrical system... The previous owner (18yrs old fresh out of high school) bought it & never made a payment... He used it 1 summer Then it set in a repo yard for almost a year before I got my hands on it...

It was a great deal, But boy its been a Money Pit... But now everything is as good or better than new...

You will get 400-600 lbs in the front locker with the Sunsport and 1150 lbs in the front playpen with the ssv. Hull design is the same, biggest differences are the walk-through bow and step down cooler.

You can order the SSV with the step down cooler and walk through bow.
