I have a 8" Bass Tube under the bow of my boat. I am trying to put a little bass in my girl's truck without taking up a lot of room. I was allways going to put 2 10" in there, but just recently thought about using the 8" Bass tube. The only thing i have the replace the Bass tube on the boat is if I take one of my 15" kicker Solo baric L7 out of my truck. Would the 15" be too much to put under the bow.Does anyone thick it would hit to hard and cause problems.

I don't think it would be too much at all. You can always get a crossover and control the power to it if you think it is too much. I don't think it would cause any problems other than ratteling stuff loose.

It Wont Rattle Any Harder Than Hitting A Double Up. Do It.

Not too much at all. You will find that it is hard to get enough bass on a boat. Too much open air.

For what its worth, my subs are in the passenger locker. They sound pretty good there. I have pics in my personal album if you want to see them.

Too much bass? Nahh, that would be hard to do in that environment. I'd say go for it.

Whats the difference between a marine amp and a regular amp?

On a marine amp, the circuit board is coated so it can withstand the elements better. Not waterproof, but can handle a little moisture and condensation. Mount a regular amp where it won't get splashed and you should be okay.

If an amp were to get wet would it short out everything that it is connected in with.
