Warning, check your intake water hose for wear spots

I went to install my flush pro into the intake water line between the v-drive and the raw water pump and found that my hose has gotten some pretty bad wear spots in it from imperfections in the bottom of the boat. There was a zip tie holding the hose in place I assume to keep it from rubbing on the motor mounts, but it actually pulled the hose more onto one of the imperfections making it worse.

Here is a pic of the forward wear spot in the hose. This one is really bad.

Here is a pic of the forward imperfection in the bottom of the boat that caused the wear point on the hose.

Here is the wear spot on the hose towards the back, its not as deep, but there is a bit of metal showing.

I'm still under warranty, so I'm thinking of asking my dealer to grind down the sharp imperfections the hose sits on and replacing the hose itself. That hose is not cheap stuff.
