Well, I missed the april thread, but got out on May 1st. Water was 51, air was 52 (rule of 100 right??). My friend and I both took a run, without wetsuits! Took some video of it, but no still pics. Here are a few of just the boat ride though. I guess our season is officially started...finally!

Took a last minute run out to Lake Berryessa on Saturday. Didn't get there until 11am (VERY later for us) and just planned on crusing and stopping for lunch with maybe a couple pulls if we found nice water. The weather was REALLY nice so we expected it to be packed. Well....there was no one there...the little breeze we had in the a.m. died down and we had an entire lake of butter all day long. Wound up staying out till about 730 getting as many pulls as we could. Great way to kick off the season!

Air: 78, Water: 68 :D

Sure, we could ride year round. We like to mix it up a little. We normally ride mid-March through end of October. Only got one short run in back at the end of March then the boat was at the shop all of April for some warranty stuff...so we missed out a little this "season"
November through March are reserved for snowboarding :D

Daaaang those mountains make the storm look scary lol! We are surrounded by trees on the river so storms creep up on us. I can usually make excuses not to leave until it's too late heheh! Then we shelter under a bridge and drink beer and listen to tunes untill it passes. Ahhhhhh good times.

Once we saw a drunk fisherman try to climb up the bridge pilings. He got about 10 feet off the water, and lost his balance. He slowly fell backwards while windmilling his arms and making terrified direct eye contact with our boat! HI-LAR-IOUS! He was fine.

Boat went into the decal shop during May. Here are some pics, I'm still not a fan of how the boat looks on trailer but these pics will work for now. I think the colors look better on the water.

Added tint, went ahead and added a red stip where the chrome one used to be just to be a little different. Wasnt sure how it would look but i think it turned out great. Replaced the "Launch 24ssv" with "Supra a better wake a better boat". Added decal to the transom. Registration letters to match side decal. Also got a small version of the "Supra a better boat a better wake" for the truck but havent put it on yet.

Yes, i know the boat is dirty. Threw in a bonus pic of what we will call a pontoon i saw last weekend.

Finally got behind the new boat, snapped a few pics of Ash surfing. We are more than happy with the wake it has with just the factory belly and rear 400 filled. It was past our knees, the pic just doesn't look like it.

Hey Dusty lookin great! Such a sweet boat! A little more though and you will surfin belly button high waves (if you so choose of course)

Oh I want to. I've got another 600 pound bag I will fill and put on the seat, but I need to get a bag for the bow before I do that. I'm afraid it will be to much rear weight without the extra front.

ScottnAz
05-17-2010, 11:42 AM
Just speed up a little bit to lengthen the pocket, and adjust the wakeplate to clean up the wave, if you've got too much rear weight.

How big is your center bag?

dusty2221
05-17-2010, 12:21 PM
Center bag is a 10x16x70. I had it full and the starboard side rear full, since we surf goofy. So you think I would be ok to put that 600 pound bag in the seat behind the driver without any additional bow weight? Only had the driver in the boat and my little girl , all 34 pounds of her.

Also, my rear bags are only the 400 right now (16x16x32)

We were surfing at 10.7 and the rubrail was about 2 inches above water from what I could tell.

Give it a shot, I think it'll work out nicely. The pictures look like your wave is really long as it is, so more rear or rear/side weight will make the wave taller. You might try to get the extra sack sitting half on the seat, and half on the sundeck on the surf side. Grag those extra orange jackets that we all carry for some reason, and use them to bridge the gap from the seat to the deck..... make sense?

This terribly cut-throat and competitive construction market in AZ has me taking out my frustrations on a poor piece of foam that can't fight back.......yet :D

Well, some buddies and I went surfing Friday afternoon/evening and in my rush to get out of the house I left the life vests hangin in the garage. I realized why I keep some old school orange vests in the boat...... we rocked those babies while we rode

Today, I shaped the rails on my first surfboard build
