ive been patiently waiting to find a 93 or newer saltare. forthose of you who are on here quite alot, what would be a good price to find one at? and how often do yall see them?

I don't watch boat sales as much as some others on here... but.... I've never seen a 93+ Saltare. Never. Not on here or any other sites.... I think onlyinboards.com and craigslist (search with crazedlist.org) are probably your best bets.

Check out jaxed.com. It compiles websites such as craigslist, ebay etc... just type in supra saltare in the search box. You will have a lot of turnouts.

i think i found Saltare. its not a 93 its a 91. i just talked to the owner and he said the only thing he questions about the boat is a valve by the prop that has a nut on it that you can loosen or tighten . he said it lubricates the motor he just hasnt figure out how much to tighten it or loosen it. he said sometime it lets in water to lubricate the motor some how. im not familar with inboards, can someone tell me if this is normal.

Sounds like the shaft packing. It lubricates the drive-shaft and provides a seal from the outside of the boat to the inside. It's an easy fix. You can either replace it with a dripless packing and forget about it, or buy a new packing rope and repack the box. Either way, it's minor.

The biggest difference between the 91 and the 93 though? The 93 is all fiberglass. I don't believe the 91 was.

If he just doesn't know how much to tighten it, the answer is so almost no water comes out. You want one drip every 2-3 seconds.
