Hi,not sure if this is in the correct forum,but,do the late 1980s supra boats have wood stringers or any issues with anything,want to look at one for sale,thanks cjbech

Yes they do. Many threads on here about this subject. Go to the search section and type in stringer.

Thanks sooo much for the info,so after 1992 Supra used no wood in the stringers and floors? what did they use? thanks again

Fiberglass.

Pretty much any 80's inboard boat uses wooden stringers no matter the manufacturer

You definitely want to be aware of what you would get into with the 80's boats. Like mikey said, pretty much all manufacturers used wood and will have the same sort of issues. Take a look at the rebuild threads on here to educate yourself. There are lots of good ones on here from all of us that have done the rebuilds.

If you want to stay away from wood, some of the 92's and all the 93's and up should have no wood.
