Was working on the boat today with a retired auto mechanic. We didn't dive into the fuel delivery too far, before he decided to start on gasket replacement. Had fuel coming into carb. with the throttle open and the boat would fire up, but then die almost right away.... He'll get it figured out, I just thought having some marine advice would be good....Carb was rebuilt last summer, new points, plugs, dist. cap and I put a new fuel filter in this week...... Culprits?????

Float level low or perhaps stuck needle?

clogged fuel strainer screen at the entry to the carb...Hopefully will fix it.....
Today's repairs:
valve cover gaskets
manifold and riser gaskets
new hoses
plugs
fuel system partial check (carb/filter)
starter and ground connections cleaned up.....
Got to late to fire it up in the driveway, but I'm excited, should be running tomorrow and hopefully get the carb fine tuning it didn't get last year!!!!!
