Just reading through some stuff on Moomba and was shocked. Figured I'd post of the question here ...

How much do you spend on gas on average?

We try to make 3 day weekends so we factor 400-450. 2 day weekend we would estimate 300. I guess 100-150 a day would be the breakdown.

Man, I guess I'm lucky. My trips are usually about three to four hours long, and with the engine rebuild it's churning through about 3 to 5 gallons based on how much weight were pulling. Gas consumption has been great on this thing.

I am spending about 80 a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) I am mainly surfing and do not spend a lot of time racing around...

I'll probably use ~$50 each time out. I assume you're paying prices at the gas dock? There's a big difference between gas-dock prices and gas-station prices.

25-30 gallons per day x $3/gallon in city = $90....if we fill up at the Marina it was $4.59/gallon which pushes it up to $137 per day. Just got back from Shasta yesterday for a week and we spent about $500 on fuel for the week.

I get ABOUT 5 gallons per hour, on average -- we tend to be out for 5-8 hours a day.

At the gas station, it's about $2.90+ now, on-lake (only in emergency) -- it's about $3.70 per gallon.

When I go to Powell, (less than 2 weeks) -- I will generally put 45-50 hours on the boat in a week -- and fuel there is OUTRAGEOUS.

I usually come to the lake filled up and have to fill up once after the first day at the marina. Here there is really only a 10 to 15 cent difference in price, though.

Perhaps it is because we are new to the wakeboat that we want to be behind it so often. We use close to 40 gallons a day if not more. Between Friday night and Saturday, especially if we are out late Saturday night (midnight or later) we will use a full 52 gallon tank.

I'm thinking/hoping this will start slowing down because i apparently use alot more than the rest. I will start measuring gallons per hour as to see if i have an efficiency problem.

I guess it also depends on how much weight you run, my 1200 in the front is full all day.

I paid $2.61 for 89 ethanol-free gas on Saturday. We burn through about 20 gallons each outing. So, that's $52/trip. We often go out 3x/week. Thats....

$52/ day
$156/ week
$624/ month
$3120/ season

Ouch, I wish I had not figured that. Oh well, life is short and you can't take it with you. So have fun now and enjoy the ride.

I am on a lake and stuck paying Marina prices....Right now $3.99 a gallon though you get a 10 percent discount if paying cash.

Burning 7-8 gallons an hour running time. Out on the lake 6 hours, boat is running 3. We put about 75 bucks in before each day out.

Dont do the math or you will sell it in a hart beat. lol. My boat is $30 to top it off and $25-$30 in the truck just for a quick trip out for the afternoon. Weekends can be way more expensive..$30-$40 in the boat, $30 in the truck, $30 for food and drinks, $40 for the restaurant stop on the way home. DON'T DO THE MATH....
