my guess would be that you are very close at 2600 give or take 200lbs tops. plus trailer

Don't know if it woiuld be the same, but the dry weight on my 86 Sunsport is 2500lbs according to the manual - and my tandem axle trailer is an additional 800lbs.

I am in a similar predicament as I am trying to determine the gross weight of my 1989 Supra SunSport and tandem Supra trailer (painted steel). I bought it as a package deal and I can only find the weight of the boat on my paperwork and online searches. I believe the boat is 2950 lbs.

Does anyone have the same trailer and know the gross weight of both? Or do you know the approximate weight of your tandem trailer?

I'm trying to tow and register with the state appropriately so anything would be helpful. NADA doesn't seem to have this info available for the trailer and it's too old for the Supra dealer to look up.

Are we crazy to tow this with a 2008 Highlander Sport V6 2WD (front wheel drive)? We're on the flat lands of Texas so the boat ramp is our biggest obstacle. The Highlander is rated to tow 3500 pounds and we're close if the boat is 2950 and the trailer is between 600-800 which I read below.

Thanks!

For the record, we just had our trailer (the custom Supra steel tandem trailer) and 1989 SunSport weighted (just a few life jackets and skiis in it) and it was a whopping 4860 pounds!

Guess we'll be getting a new towing vehicle.
