After a month of trying to sell my 87' wellcraft, the fiance and I were able to get down to NH 3hrs south of us in ME and purchase the 92' sunsport, the boat is a dream come true, esp. considering the price, year and condition. Between the two of us and my cousin (wakebuddy) we have about 20hrs into removing the hideous teal decals cleaning, buffing, waxing, oil change etc. Very excited to get some pics up soon and even more excited to get her in the water monday. The boat is set up with the 351 and the 1.23 trans, all glass, dual axel trailer and the previous owner (great guy) even let me have the sky line. I would love to hear what you guys have to say about the boat as far as anything to watch out for or any mod ideas as well. thanks

YES, this is Ben C's boat, the fiance and I just had it out for the first time. I cannot say enough about how nice Ben and his wife are, GREAT PEOPLE. The boat seems to go very well. I have to hold the throttle at wakeboarding speed or it automatically drops to idle, and when pulled into my drive way I only have about .5 inch clearance. I plan on increasing the bunker height wednesday and fixing my driveway LOL. The interior needs a little TLC. How long ago did you ride behind it? Glad to make the connection.

Hey, thanks for all the replies and positive comments. Fiance and I had it out again this evening, worked on it a bit while we ate dinner and floated along, came home and built the new bunks for the trailer to help increase my height. We don't plan on doing much more this season besides covering the rear sundeck and 3 individual seats. It will be a work in progress, but as far as I can tell worth every cent!

I just saw that boat, the ads still up on craigslist, I have an '87 and love it but the wooden stringers have been getting on my nerves lately. Yours should be composite, looks like you got a pretty good deal. Good luck with it.

Yes, it is all composite, my search for a sunsport started over a year ago and I feel very lucky to find a 1992.

Yeah, you got a killer deal on a great boat! I was disappointed to not get there before someone else, but I am happy for you and glad that we'll get to see her get the treatment she deserves.

On a side note, I think I found my baby...we'll see how that turns out.
