So my 1991 supra Sunsport has been a pleasure to work on. My original problems were: electrical short/bad grounds, no water pump/engine not running, heavy oxidized sides, painted bottom, screwed up interior, engine cowling broken, bad trailer, vinyl stripes, broken swim platform.
So far have fixed the bad grounds and short+ a new solenoid. i have put on a new fuel filter +bracket, new plugs(campion), new oil i chose to run a heavy weight synthetic blend, new oil filter. the engine is being worked on by a mechanic on thursday(aka water pump make sure it runs-well-). buffed the sides up then waxed. the bottom was painted with anti-fouling paint so i striper it off and primed it with Pettit primer and plan to paint it white withe interlux brightside. i bleached the interior and restored what i could. i have repaired the bent/broken cowling still have found a trailer, I NEED A TRAILER, a USED one, under a 1k, anything? i'm located in maryland so i cant head over 300 miles to pick one up. vinyl stripes were a pain but i go it done. the swim platform is a joke, it sucks who designed it? mine is trashed, i was un-able to take it off for several days.
a note my boat is a 1991 but it has plastic stringers.? anyone know anything about this.
