Has anyone installed a aftermarket PA system into their boats? They are relativly inexpensive and could be fun. I have a 04 Launch SSV GG w/ factory Kenwood amps and deck.

man you have to get a ws 420 , especially if you have tower speakers which i believe you do on a GG, its a controller, equalizer and pa system specifically for boats

+1877697 on the WS-420!

Won't have another boat without it - have it on the last 2 boats.

Does SOOOOO much more for you than the PA - that is the least used feature, but it IS used ---

Thanx for the heads up on the 420. Easy install?

yes, do you have amps, I assume? very straightforward. It was harder to figure out how to mount
it in the boat than to hook it up.

Check out the website for ideas.

Cruise around on the wetsounds site - some people cut custom holes for this to fit in, all kinds
of things you can do with it.

You also don't have to buy it from them direct. I have owned 2 for 2 different boats, bought one locally,
one direct.

Just make sure it works. My WS-420 works for the amp and music. But no PA for me.

It is one of the features of the WS-420 that I didn't believe that I would use. However, I use it quite frequently. I can't say enough good things about the 420.

Just a usefull tip, if you mount the ws-420 in a custom enclosure or somewhere hard to get too, make sure you use some electrical tape to hold the PA plugged in... Mine fell out took 2+ hrs to get it all hooked back up...

Anybody go a more simpler route? A buddy of mine used a CB and an old cone speaker to put a PA system on his Jeep. He got in for under $40 and it works great, really loud. Anybody?
