last year for wooden stringers

Gentlemen, I have been lurking around on the forum for quite awhile now, but I relly need help with a question that I don't seem to be able to come up with on my own. Would a 1992 Saltare have wooden floors and stringers? I know that Supra started using composite materials in '92, but did they completely stop using wood for that model year? What would I look for to be able to tell?
I appreciate any help.

you know i have a 1991 sunsport and i have composite floors and stringers, that were original. so go figure, its pretty weird. it must have been a test model or something. i know this didn't really help, but it was on topic

Thank you for the response, and I would have to agree with you, that is wierd that a '91 did not have wooden floors and stringers.

They did not change over all at once but throughout 91-92. Round windsheild so far has been a true indicator of composite stringers.

Thank you WakeMikey, I'm looking at what will be my third Supra, but first Saltare. It is a '92 with the round windshield. That's a BIG selling point to me.
I appreciate all the help.

i have squared winsheild, but i composite stringers, it my boat an oddball or something?

Edge yes! :) Interesting that it has square. I would hand-check any 91 or 92

hand check, how i found out: i was mounting a new fuel filter and drilled into the stringers, what came out was not wood, it was a plastic composite. i guess thats a hand check.?

To check mine before I bought it, I brought a drill with a tiny drill bit (very tiny, smaller than 1/8") and just drilled into the stringer that the motor mounts are bolted to. Only had to drill about an inch and if wood comes out well then its wood. If a white plastic material comes out then you have composite. After drilling I just shot some caulk into the hole

exactly, same place. but instead of filling it i mounted a fuel filter

my 89 supra says Coremat for stringers not wood......how can i check them to see if they are still good
