So I un-winterized my boat last weekend and missed the hose clamp on the raw water pump intake hose. From what I can tell, as the engine heated up, the hose expanded and loosened around the pump nipple and the pump started sucking air. The impeller burned up and quit pumping water. I was in the middle of the lake by this point. I limped the boat back to the boat ramp, but it was pretty hot at this point. I've replace the impeller and plan to change the oil. I hooked up the garden hose and ran it for a few minutes and everything appears to be ok.

My question is, is there anything else that anyone can suggest I should check out to make sure every thing is good.

Thanks,
Trent

Check the inside of your exhaust tubes for blistering. When you drain the oil use a clean dry drain pan. Look for water in the oil after you drain it.
