I have a 07 24 ft ssv with 8.1 liter engine. I'm buying a new prop and have see conflicting information. Will the acme 1235 fit without issue or do I need to stick with the factory OJ?

Acme
Diameter - 14.5
Pitch - 14.25
Cup - .105

OJ
14.25 X 14 .090 CUP

Call ACME directly and the owner will help you out. He has no problem giving out great info. Infact I told him I found one on ebay and just wanted to know if it would be better for wakeboarding. He started talking about pitch and diameter, overall weight, CNC over cast. I really didn't get it but at the end of the conversation he said way better hole shot than stock. Anyway his advice saved me 200 bucks buying it (new of course) on ebay.

some of the boats have trailer clearance issues with the prop protector bar.....if you have lots of clearance then there should be no issue.....check out the moomba site for the prop testing

I would think with the 8.1 you will need more pitch than either 14 or 14.25. Feel free to give me a call to discuss. Thanks. Eric Johnson OJ PROPS/Johnson Propeller - 800-359-9730

Just wondering.. I have the same boat as you - except smaller engine... Why are you replacing your prop? I found out 2 nights ago a blade came off my prop. We didn't run aground or hit anything, just felt the boat get very shaky after excerlating and turning coming out of a cove. Then, it became very shaky so the next day we had dry storage put it on the lift and that's when we discovered the problem! Unfortunately it cut into the gel coat to the fiber glass as well. So, I too, am shopping for a new prop ASAP!

Yeah, I am unaware of the differences between the 2 props OJ vs. Acme, I have heard great things about Acme lately from a few friends, but it's something I've never had to research or really learn too much about until now.
My marina that is repairing the boat, said the part would cost $593 for a new OJ prop, and I think I just found one on ebay, but I am not sure of the specs on the current one I have on the boat. However this one on ebay is $396. So, just wondering what the big deal/difference is between the 2 brands or if anything really? How do I find out the specs on my boat propeller?
